Having a play with modelling paste, spray paints, gold leaf, stencils. Also working on wood either bare or primed in either black or white gesso.

9th Oct - Drawing 3D objects.

After watching a few small ‘how to’ videos we experimented drawing spheres, cones and cubes. Thanks Linda for sharing your great results. Any more anyone?

Miriam Laville - 25th September

A great evening, embracing, experimenting and learning the attributes of oil pastels.  I think the results below say it all.

Summer Project - Line & Wash
Shortly before the summer break, John Harrison gave a demonstration to our group on his line drawing and wash technique. We used this as a base for our summer Project.

Holmfirth Art Week July
We were invited to exhibit as part of Holmfirth Art Week Fringe in the Market Hall. Lovely to be asked and fun to mingle with other creative individuals.

Watercolour and Ink - Creative Techniques and Processes' to form woods and trees.

5th June - Plein Air at Miriam’s Kitchen Table

Sunshine, great venue and fabulous cakes and coffee. Thank you Miriam.

22nd May - Portraits Night

Working in random pairs, we sketched portraits or features of each other.

24th April -Seascapes

create a seascape using any medium. The art work below was produced from just 2 hours (except Johns framed pieces). I will add more images as many of the below progress to finished pieces.

6th March- Scraperboard.

Thank you Neil for introducing us to the art of scraperboard, very pleasing results in a short time and so cathartic too. #TVart

23rd January - Build Me Up Buttercup

Painting along to a DVD - Chunky Acrylics with Marilyn Allis.
Not the easiest of DVD's to try and follow, but interesting to work and learn to use the technique of a loose style.
